Celebrating 20 Years!

Mar 2, 2017

On Wednesday, June 14, 2017 the Lincoln Square Business Improvement District will celebrate 20 Years of Vision, Action and Results at a reception honoring three of our Founding Board Members, Georgette Bennett of Milstein Properties, our Treasurer who is stepping down from our Board, and former Chairs George Crawford and Andrew Pucher, for their respective roles in building our successful public private partnership. Each of these visionary leaders has demonstrated tremendous civic pride and given generously of their time and played a major role in the transformation of Lincoln Square, in addition to each having extraordinary professional careers in the corporate and philanthropic sectors.

Since our non-profit BID’s 1996 inception, its staff and a dedicated coalition of public and private members has worked non-stop to assure positive change and growth in Lincoln Square. As a result of our mutual efforts, Lincoln Square is unique in New York City. Not only is Lincoln Square a hub of culture and entertainment, a thriving and growing residential community, and a home to academic and nonprofit institutions, it is also a world-renown destination site brimming with premier hotels, world-class shopping and amazing dining choices. Today, Lincoln Square, the Gateway to the Upper West side, is the magnet for 23 million visitors annually, and on this very special occasion, we will celebrate 20 years of mutual accomplishments and partnerships.
